The Pink Affair History:

In 2001 the Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA) North Fulton Link Alumnae Chapter hosted the very first Pink Affair silent auction to benefit ZTA's Foundation and National Philanthropy - Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. Kathy Smith and her sister, Judy Suggs, hosted the event in Judy's  living room with about 30 friends, raising $1,800.  Originally The Pink Affair benefited ZTA Foundation and Susan G. Komen Foundation; however, as the event grew in attendees and proceeds, in 2007 the alumnae chapter decided that the monies raised could better benefit breast cancer organizations in the local community.

From 2007 to 2012 TurningPoint was one of several local organizations benefiting from the The Pink Affair.  Inspired by TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation's mission and the organization's focus on breast cancer survivorship care, the relationship with TurningPoint quickly became a "partnership" of friendship and support between The Pink Affair Event Committee and TurningPoint's staff and patients.

Because of this wonderful relationship The Pink Affair become TurningPoint's signature fundraising event in 2013.  Now a black-tie optional gala, the event has sold out three times in the past bringing together more than 500 guests to benefit and celebrate TurningPoint.

In 2022 we returned to the ballroom for an in-person event after two years in the virtual world.  The support we received was overwhelming and because of the enormous generosity of our supporters, it turned out to be the BEST Pink Affair to date!  Over the past 16 years The Pink Affair has raised over 1.4 million dollars to support TurningPoint's mission.

The Pink Affair is an evening of both spirited enjoyment and strongly needed fundraising. Click on the button below to check out the Fun and FUNdraising at last year's event.
