Laura Georgelos
Illinois transplants, Laura Georgelos and her husband, Lou, live in Naples with their daughter, Tori, who participates in STARability's Trailblazer Academy program. Georgelos joined the Board of Directors in 2020 and previously served as the Vice Chair. Additionally, she has co-chaired the STAR Gala twice, helping raise almost $3 million. Currently at Coldwell Banker Global, Georgelos is one of the leading luxury real estate brokers with over 20 years in the business. Dedicated to serving various charities in her native Illinois and Florida communities, Georgelos was named in 2020 a Distinguished Volunteer by the Association of Fundraising Professionals' Collier-Lee Chapter.
"Advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities has been a passion of mine for 28 years, inspired by my daughter, Tori and her friends," said Georgelos. "STARability is a lifeline for those with IDD and their families in Southwest Florida. Supporting this stellar organization in their efforts to teach and enrich the lives of the deserving STARs they serve is my highest priority and I aim to propel their future forward."
Dena Rae Hancock
Originally from Indiana, Dena Rae Hancock and her husband, Rob Caito, moved to Naples in 2017. A longtime supporter of STARability, she currently serves in a dual role as the senior philanthropy officer for The Golisano Children's Museum of Naples and Sr. Wealth Advisor for The Naples Trust Company. Dena Rae previously served as CEO of Golisano Children's Museum of Naples. Hancock also holds a number of leadership and board positions with the Naples Children's Education Fund, Community School of Naples, Community Health Network, advancement committee chair for the IU Foundation board, and president of the national Indiana University Varsity Club.
