How do I participate in the online silent auction? 
You must be registered to participate. Registration is easy, just use the button below, or click Sign In or Register in the top left-hand corner of the page. From there, click "Register Now", then follow the prompted directions. You do not need a smartphone to participate, you can use your computer or tablet to do the same browsing, bidding, and buying. Note that all those wishing to participate in the online silent auction, both at the event and from home, must register.

Returning users: If you already have a GiveSmart account from a previous event, simply click "Sign In" and log into your existing account.  You can request a pin to log you in if you forgot your password.

Will you need my credit card information?
A credit card is not required to register, but is required to bid. Add a credit or debit card on file now at MY INFO. If you prefer to pay by check, please reach out to us at sweachter@ymcarivercrossing.org for information on how to send in your payment.

 

How do I pay for my item once I win? 

We require that you put a credit card on file when bidding on items for an easy, quick check out. Any credit or debit card will work. At the conclusion of the auction on Saturday, November 9th around 9:00 PM, you'll be able to go to your activity and check out from the PAY tab. All remaining balances will be charged to the card on file on Monday, November 11th at 3:00 PM. If you prefer to pay by check, please reach out to us at sweachter@ymcarivercrossing.org for information on how to send in your payment before that time.

 

How do I retrieve or arrange my auction item/experience?

Those attending the Gala in person can pick up their items the night of the event. For silent auction winners not in attendance, we will contact you after the auction closes on November 9th with all the pertinent information you need to know for the next steps in fulfilling your auction win. How can I share the auction with my friends? 

Since this year's silent auction is being hosted online, anyone anywhere can participate! Direct friends and family to https://RCYGALA.givesmart.com so they can register and bid online.

Warning: Do not share your personal bidding link at the top of your browser, as it is tied to your account.  

 

When does the auction go live? 

Silent auction items will be available for bidding beginning November 1st at 12:00 AM; Live Auction items will only be available for bidding in person at the Gala on Saturday, November 9th.

You can participate in the auction from a computer, tablet or phone, it's up to you!

After you sign in to your GiveSmart account, click "ITEMS" at the top of the page to view the auction and start bidding. You can filter these by type of item by clicking the 'Categories' button.
Click the item you'd like to bid on, then enter your bid in the open text field (make sure it is higher than the current minimum amount) and click "Bid".
If you have opted in to receive text messages, you will receive a text if you are outbid.  
Watch items by clicking the yellow star on any item page to easily access it from the "My Activity" page
