Julie Rieger is the former President, Chief Data Strategist & Head of Media at Fox Film where she created the vision, architecture, and implementation of the Consumer Intelligence group. Julie has had the privilege of launching films like Avatar, Bohemian Rhapsody, Deadpool, XMEN, Logan, The Martian, Fault in Our Stars, The Heat, Hidden Figures, The Greatest Showman and The Book Thief, the film where she won numerous marketing awards for her profound 'imagine a world without words' blank pages in The New York Times.
Rieger was an Adjunct Professor at USC from 2012-2017 where she taught Entertainment Marketing for a program that sat between the Cinematic school and Business school.
2018 was a big year. Rieger was inducted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (Oscars). In October, Simon & Schuster released her first book called 'The Ghost Photographer,' a memoir of Julie's supernatural journey through grief after losing her mother to Alzheimer's disease. Christine Engel from Booklist characterized her book as "The Ghost Photographer is a story of unconditional love and healing by a woman you might just want to have a drink with." Later that year, Julie was invited to be an iHeartRadio podcast host for a show called 'Insider's Guide to The Other Side.' She is continuing to host her show to this day.
In 2019, Julie was asked and accepted a Board of Directors seat for the AI NLP company called StoryFit. In 2021, Julie joined the Board of Directors of Life Circle, a senior adult day center in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Julie currently resides in Santa Fe with her wife of 30 years and their two dogs Sookie and Rebel.
