2024 Carolina Raptor Center Photo Contest

Carolina Raptor Center is pleased to announce its annual Photo contest. This juried competition invites talented photographers to donate photos to the photo auction at CRC's annual gala, Raptor Rendezvous, on June 29, 2024.
Please submit your photographs in the following categories:
Best in Show
Best Photo Wild Photos
Best Wild Bird Photos
Best General Wildlife Photos
Best Nature/Landscape Photos
Staff selected Honorable Mentions (5)
Carolina Raptor Center reserves the right to include some images in the Raptor Rendezvous live auction. All other submissions will be included in the silent auction.
Entry Deadline: Photos must be delivered to the Carolina Raptor Center by June 10, 2024, at 5:00pm
Number of Submissions: up to 3 per photographer
Entry Fee: $0.00 (in lieu of an entry fee photographs will be donated to the Auction)
Winners' Prize: the four (4) category winners will receive one (1) complimentary ticket to Raptor Rendezvous event and a $150 gift card to Biggs Camera. The Best in Show category, selected by the Carolina Raptor Center staff, will receive a $500 gift card to Biggs Camera and will be auctioned in the live auction. Winners will be notified on June 21, 2024. Please hold the date if you plan to attend and make a reservation by emailing mlake@carolinaraptorcenter.org.

Submission Guidelines
UPDATE: We will not require or accept framed photos for the 2024 Photo Contest due to display constraints at the venue. Please have your photos matted only. If you have already framed your photo, please email Matt Lake.
- If you plan on submitting photos to the contest, please register here as soon as possible. This will help us organize submissions and distribute tax letters after.
- All submissions in all four categories must have been taken within the last five years.
- All entries must be professionally matted, and at a minimum covered with protective plastic.
- Photos must be a minimum of 8" x 10" and matted/framed to a minimum of 11"x 14".
- Photos must not exceed 20" x 24" with a matted/framed size not to exceed 26" x 30".
- All submissions must be delivered to Carolina Raptor Center by June 10, 2024 at 5:00pm.
- Submissions not conforming to the above guidelines may be omitted from the contest.
Thank you for participating in CRC's 2024 Photo Contest. We appreciate your donation to help us raise money to continue our outstanding education and outreach programs. By submitting to this contest, you give CRC permission to display, use and/or make public your photographs in print or digital form for promotional purposes. You will always receive credit for your work in these instances. CRC agrees not to profit financially from your donation other than amounts raised through the silent and/or live auction of your photos. CRC will provide you with a tax receipt for all monies raised through the sale of your submission(s) or the declared fair market value, whichever is greater.

Please note that due to venue space limitations and event cost, we cannot extend photographers a discount on tickets. We will not take full payment until after the winners are determined on June 21st.
