How do I enter the arboretum and where do I park?

Inform the gate attendant that you are attending The Silver Ball and proceed to the main parking lot. You can drop off guests closer to the visitor center entrance using the circular drive.

How do I purchase gala tickets?

Tickets are no longer available, but you can still participate in the silent auction and/or purchase a commemorative tree.  

I purchased a Taylor Swift raffle ticket. When will I know if I won?

The winner will be announced at The Silver Ball. You do not need to be present to win. The winner will be notified immediately using the contact information entered in Give Smart at the time of purchase.  

How do I participate in the silent auction and pay for items?

You do not need to be present to participate in the silent auction, but you do need to register with GiveSmart before you can bid.  Click the ITEMS tab to view the auction item details.  Once you bid on an item, you will receive a text message to confirm your bid and if you are outbid.  You can also set up "autobid" to have the system automatically bid incrementally on your behalf up to an amount you set.   The winning bid will be charged to the credit card on file and the winner will be notified by text message after the auction close (approx 9:10 pm on Friday 4/28).  If you are not present, you will be contacted to arrange for item pickup. No cash or checks will accepted. 

I received a message that I already have a GiveSmart account. I don't remember my username or password. What should I do?

If you participated in a GiveSmart fundraiser in the past, you may already have an account linked to your mobile phone number..  Use 'Forgot Username or Password?' to reset your username or/or password.

I am attending the event. Where do I find my ticket? 

You should have received a confirmation text and email at time of purchase or when you were registered as a guest. The day before the event, you will receive a text reminder from GiveSmart. You do not need show a ticket to check in.  You can also text "silverball2023" to 76278 to resend the Welcome message to your cell phone.  

How will the funds raised be used?

Proceeds from this event will support The Workshop at Glen Ellyn Public Library. 

What portion of my ticket is tax deductible?

The fair market value of a ticket is $175. $75 per ticket is tax deductible.
