Zonya Love
Singer/actor Zonya Love made her Broadway debut as Celie in the Color Purple and is known to People's Light audiences for her performances in the world premiere of Light's Out: Nat King Cole which she reprised in the subsequent Geffen Playhouse production in Los Angeles; Spiritual Uprising and A Christmas Carol. Other credits include the Broadway production of Beetlejuice (Maxine Dean, Juno) Off Broadway: Avenue Q (Gary Coleman) Emma & Max (Britney). First National Tour of Avenue Q, Jocelyn Bioh's adaptation of Merry Wives at the New York Shakespeare Festival, The Devil's Music (Milwaukee Rep), Dreamgirls (Theater Under the Stars), The Parchman Hour (The Guthrie), Sister Act, The Wiz, Kiss Me Kate, and Show Boat (Broadway at Sacramento), Intimate Apparel & Twelfth Night.
