November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor and celebrate the culture and traditions of Indigenous Peoples. The Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center believes that culture and community are an integral part of an individual's health and well-being. We practice and share traditions alongside modern medicine, as a way to build and heal the mind, body, spirit, and emotions. Please join us at the 2024 Red Shawl Gala as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month by Honoring Culture and Community.

Since its inception, the Red Shawl Gala celebrates the ongoing efforts of the Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center to support our mission of improving the health, peace, and well-being of our Native community in the Greater Milwaukee area. We provide medical, wellness, cultural, spiritual, and social services not only to our Milwaukee Native community, but tribal members of the entire Southeastern region of the state of Wisconsin.
