John Pennekamp Coral Reef State park was established in 1963 as the first undersea park in the United States - and long considered a crown jewel of the Florida State Park System. Since then, the park has enjoyed international renown as part of the only living coral reef in the continental United States. To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the park and the 75th Anniversary of the Florida State Park system, Wyland has created Marine Sanctuary: Mangroves to the Reef, his unique interpretation of the abundant life and colors both above and below this dazzling aquatic universe.
