Safety at Carnivale

We are prioritizing safety and celebration in the cathedral's 1.5 million cubic feet by limiting in person capacity, maximizing air flow and more!

Your health and safety is our top priority. We are closely monitoring COVID-19 in San Francisco and surrounding counties to ensure that we are following health orders and guidance from the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the Diocese of California:

  • All guests 12 and above will be required to show proof of vaccination and proof of receiving a booster on or before February 21 in order to attend the event.
  • A negative Covid-19 test result taken within 24 hours of the event start time will be required. If you test at-home, please take a photo of the negative on your phone and present it at check-in
  • Onsite testing will be provided.
  • Our built-in airflow system provides ventilation throughout the cathedral. Open cathedral doors will promote fresh air circulation, so wear an extra layer to enjoy the evening!

Specific, timely updates regarding safety requirements for attending Carnivale and event guidelines for celebrating will be shared with guests and updated here.
