Hello and thank you for registering and joining Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation for Art of the Dog a virtual art auction! The silent auction is open and will close at 7:45pm EST on September 23, 2021. The feature video program will begin at 6pm, and the live video will begin at 6:45pm EST.

How do I access/watch the video?

Click the link to view live event at Fidelco.givesmart.com. If you registered for the virtual event, you will receive an email and text with the link for viewing. Simply click the link to open the video display webpage, log-in using your GiveSmart account information (if requested), and the video will automatically begin playing.

Can I watch the video program on my TV?

You will be able to display the video on your TV if you have a method with which you are able to connect your preferred device to your television.

How long will the video be?

Art of the Dog will last approximately from 85 minutes.

Will I be able to watch the video again after the program has concluded?

Yes, the video will be published to our YouTube channel on September 24th for those who missed it.

How long will the auction be open?

The silent auction will open at 9/17/2021 and close at 7:45PM EST on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

How do I bid?

1. Visit Fidelco.givesmart.com to view the items from your personal bidder profile.

2. View items by category or search by item number or name.

3. Click the item of interest to view the description as well as the current bid.

4. Bids will be auto-populated based on the set minimum increment for each item. You can choose to bid at a higher increment, if you'd like.

5. Click Bid.

How do I place an auto-bid?

Allow the GiveSmart system to automatically bid up to a designated amount for you. GiveSmart will bid incrementally up to the amount designated as long as someone else places a bid against you. If no one bids against your auto-bid, the price remains the same.

1. Select and click the item of interest.

2. Click the Auto Bid tab.

3. Enter in the maximum amount you would like to bid.

4. Click Bid.

Can I bid from my phone, and will I receive status updates on items I've bid on?

Yes, and yes. You will receive updates on your bid status via text message.

Why can't I bid on certain items?

Items marked LIVE are only available for the live auction in person, and the coverage of the bidding on those items will be streamed live at Live Event

How do I make a general donation?

Visit Donation or you can make a contribution through the "Donate Now" section.

Are my donations tax-deductible?

Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your Art of the Dog registration cost, donation, and winning auction bids are deductible to the fullest extent allowed. You will receive an acknowledgment letter from Fidelco Guide Dogs for contributions you make and should consult directly with your tax adviser.
