For virtual 5K runners:
Step 1: This is the hardest step which is to REGISTER RIGHT NOW!
Step 2: Decide when your Next Step A Thon 'V5K' will take place. The V5K can be any time between now and October 9th. Your V5K officially ends when whichever comes first; you finish running 5 kilometers / 3.1 miles OR 11:00 AM on October 9th. All run times must be submitted to NSC by 11:30 PM on October 9, 2021.
Step 3: Ask your family, friends, neighbors, and anyone else you know to also check out the event website to learn more about our mission and/or participate in the silent auction.
Step 4: Get geared up and take a 'pre-run' selfie (or have a friend take your pic) and post it to Instagram and/or Facebook with the hashtag: #nextstepathon and tag @nextstepclubhouse.
Step 5: Start running!!!!!
Step 6: Once you have finished running, record your run time.
Step 7: Take a 'post-run' selfie (sweat and all) and post it to Instagram and/or Facebook with the hashtag: #nextstepathon and tag @nextstepclubhouse
IF you would like to eligible to win an event award AND/OR participate in the event's post event program; you must finish your event run by Saturday, October 9th at 11:00 AM and submit your results HERE by 11:30 AM.
Follow the Results Link provided to you to complete the online form IF you want to be eligible for the event's overall fastest time award for either Females or Males.
Step 8: Join us in person on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11:30 AM in the First United Methodist Church's rear parking lot located just past 512 North Church St, Charlotte, 28202. Validated parking located in the parking deck off of 9th st.
