Chris Cox, the owner of 800 acres surrounding Crystal Mill has partnered with the Special Forces Foundation to offer a once in a lifetime hunting experience for 4 in the Elk Mountains, on his private property. Dates available for 2022 season. Hunters can stay at one of the cabins on the property or set up their own camp.

Set against the backdrop of mountains and aspen trees, the wooden powerhouse (Crystal Mill) was built in 1893 during the silver boom. Using a water turbine to activate an air compressor, the mill powered drills in the Bear Mountain and Sheep Mountain silver mines. In 1917, the mill was abandoned when the Sheep Mountain mine closed. It is now a quaint town where you can come to unwind and see some of the most amazing things nature has to offer

You can get there by a 4-wheel drive road. The trail itself is a visual feast. The road meanders through the Elk Mountains and follows the Crystal River. It then passes through the Aspen groves and by Lizard Lake.
