Auction Rules
Thank you for generously supporting tonight's live and silent auctions. All proceeds help RaiseAChild (RAC) continue its mission building loving families for foster children . Carefully read all descriptions and restrictions on the display screen. If no bidding is made on an item, the starting bid may be reduced at the discretion of RAC at any time.
Upon arrival, each guest is assigned a bid number to be used during the silent and live auctions. If you have not been assigned or lost your bid number, please return to the registration table.
All sales are final. There can be no exchanges, transfers or refunds.
Again, please read all restrictions carefully. Please be aware that reservations for trips, hotel accommodations and use of facilities have been arranged by the donor. Unless otherwise specified, transportation for travel items is NOT included. All items are sold "as is." RAC is grateful to its donors, but does not endorse any product or service.
All items must be paid for and removed from the premises by the conclusion of the event (no later than 9:59 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021). Auction items can be picked-up immediately following the live auction. If delivery is necessary, it must be arranged by the winning bidder on the Event Date. Delivery charge(s) will apply.
Please note that the published value of any live or silent auction item is only a good-faith estimate provided by the donor and is not warranted by RAC for tax purposes. Please consult with your tax advisor regarding any potential tax deduction benefits for purchases at and/or contributions to this event.
Silent Auction
The silent auction will close at approximately at 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
Each item is assigned to and displayed with an individual item number. You may bid on as many items as you wish by simply bidding through the mobile app, including the actual app link/access. To qualify as a valid bid, you must offer an amount equal to or greater than the minimum bid that's indicated and your bid must comply with the minimum raise amount indicated.
Live Auction
Your live auction bid card will be assigned to you at registration check-in. Please be sure that you are bidding with your correct, assigned number.
At the close of each item, a runner will assist with paying for your item through the mobile app. A receipt will be sent to the email you have on file at time of registration.

OFFICIAL RULES
MUST BE A LEGAL RESIDENT OF THE 50 STATES OF THE U.S. AND 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF OCTOBER 16, 2021 TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RAFFLE (AS DETAILED BELOW). VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
1. Raffle Description: Mayan Palace Raffle benefiting Raise A Child Inc. ("Raffle") begins on August 1, 2021 and ends on October 24, 2021 at approximately 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time ("PT"). Raise A Child Inc., a non-profit corporation, ("RAC" or the "Sponsor") will be highlight the raffle at the RAC fundraising event, "RaiseAChild HONORS" at the W Hollywood Hotel, 6250 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA 90028 and continue until after the event at approximately 12:00 p.m. PT. RAC reserves the right to change the raffle start and end dates as well as the Raffle Rules (the "Rules") at any time.
How to Enter: To purchase one or more raffle ticket(s) for a chance to win the Grand Prize as detailed below:
(1) Purchase a ticket online at https://HONORS10.givesmart.com
(2) Purchase a ticket at the Benefit.
Participants will receive one entry into the raffle drawing with the purchase of each ticket at a cost of $25 each or purchase of five (5) tickets for $100. Each ticket qualifies for one (1) entry into the raffle drawing ("Entry"). All raffle ticket sales are final. Tickets may not be changed, sold or transferred by the purchasing party or anyone else.
Each entry is assigned a number and will be put into a random number generator. All required online Entry Information must be completed in full. The Receipt is to be retained by the Entrant. The Stub is to be retained by the Sponsor's sales representative. Any attempted form of entry other than as described herein is void. Entries that are incorrect, inaccurate, destroyed, incomplete, lost, misdirected, forged, damaged, mutilated, tampered with, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules will be void. If, for any reason, this Raffle is not capable of running as originally planned, Sponsor at its sole discretion, reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Raffle. Any person attempting to defraud Sponsor or tamper with Raffle in any way
will be prosecuted to the full extent permitted by law and is not eligible for a prize. Once submitted, Entries will not be returned and become the sole property of Sponsor.
Raffle ends on October 24, 2021 at approximately 12 p.m. PT.
2. Eligibility: Only natural persons who are legal residents in the fifty (50) states of the U.S., who are physically located and residing therein and who are 21 years of age or older as of October 16, 2021 are eligible to enter the Raffle. Employees, and members of their immediate families (spouses, children, siblings, parents) and/or household members, whether or not related, of Raise A Child Inc. and its affiliates are ineligible to purchase raffle tickets.
3. Drawing and Notification: Potential winner will be randomly selected from all eligible Entries, in a drawing held on October 24, 2021 at RaiseAChild, 3435 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90010. Raffle purchasers need not be present at the time of the drawing to win. Potential winner will be notified by phone, mail, and/or email using the information provided on his/her Entry within approximately two (2) days of the drawing date. If a potential winner cannot be reached after a reasonable effort has been exerted, if he/she is found to be ineligible, if he/she cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, or if his/her prize notification is returned as undeliverable, that potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate potential winner may be selected at Sponsor's sole discretion. If notified by email, potential winner will be required to respond to the prize notification email within five (5) days or his/her entry will be disqualified, his/ her prize forfeited and an alternate potential winner may be selected.
4. Prize: One (1) Grand Prize: Trip for Grand Prize winner and one (1) Guest. Grand Prize Winner will receive four (4) nights hotel accommodations , 2 adults and 2 children maximum to choose from the following destinations only: Acapulco, Nuevo Vallarta, Cancun-RivieraMaya or Puerto Penasco ("Trip"). Airfare is not included. Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of Grand Prize is: $1,720.
It is recommended that all booking requests be submitted a minimum of 45 days in advance, greater if you plan to travel during peak weeks. This is a members-only resort collection. No blackout dates, but all reservations subject to availability. Holiday fees will apply during travel weeks that include a major US holiday. Package is valid for a Mayan Palace Master Room, which sleeps two adults and two children, twelve and under. Additional charges will apply for guests exceeding the limit. Hotel/Resort taxes and fees, meals, room incidentals and airfare are not included and the responsibility of the redeemer. Estimated room tax is approximately $11/day per room. Nuevo Vallarta, Cancun-Riviera Maya locations have an additional $75 resort fee, which includes one-way transportation services from the arriving airport to the resort. Concierge & Booking services included. Upgrades to One and Two Bedroom suites are available at the time of booking at a discounted rate and are based on availability. Package must be used within one stay. Packages cannot be combined. There are no refunds for nights that go unused/redeemed. Fees apply if the package is transferred or extended. 12 months to redeem, 24 months to travel from the date of the fundraiser event where purchased. All sales are final.
If Winner is unable to redeem the prize within 12 months and take Trip 24 months of October 16, 2021 for any reason, he/she will forfeit all elements of the Grand Prize, and Sponsor will have no further obligation to Winner. Grand Prize winner's Travel Guest must be 21 years of age or older. Grand Prize Trip winner is responsible for all other incidentals/expenses not specifically mentioned as being included, including, but not limited to, room tax, resort fees, select ground transportation, meals, gratuities, and phone calls. If Grand Prize winner elects to travel with no guest, no additional compensations will be awarded. Grand Prize winner and guest must travel together on the same itinerary and possess all required travel documents, including visas and valid passports, if and as applicable.
In the event a winner or his or her guest engages in behavior that (as determined by Sponsor or Trip Provider in their sole discretion) is obnoxious or threatening, illegal or that is intended to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, Sponsor or Trip Provider reserves the right to terminate the trip or other applicable experience early, in whole or in part, and send the winner and/or his or her guest home with no further compensation.
Winner is solely responsible for all costs, incidentals, and any other expenses not specifically mentioned as being included. In the event that a prize component is not available for any reason, then remaining elements of prize shall constitute full satisfaction of Sponsor's prize obligation to winner and no additional compensation will be awarded. Any depictions of the prize are for illustrative purposes only.
5. General Conditions: This Raffle is subject to these Official Rules and all applicable federal, state, and local laws (collectively "Rules and Laws"). Grand Prize Potential winner will be required to surrender his/her winning Receipt in order to verify ownership and may be required to sign, execute, have notarized, and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, (where legal) a Publicity Release, and any other documentation that Sponsor or Trip Provider may require (collectively "Affidavit/Release") within five (5) days of receipt or such potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate potential winner may be selected at Sponsor's sole discretion. Travel guest may be required to sign, execute, have notarized, and return a Liability Release, a Publicity Release, and any other documentation that Sponsor or Trip Provider may require within five (5) days after receipt by potential winner.
By submitting entry information, entrant confirms the accuracy and veracity of the statements and information contained therein. Any person attempting to defraud or tamper with Raffle will be prosecuted and is not eligible for the prize. In case of a dispute over the identity of a potential winner, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to deem the winner to be the owner indicated on the method of payment for the Entry (check or credit card).
6. Taxes: To the extent required by applicable law, payment or withholding of applicable taxes will be required at the time of transfer of the prize to the winner. Purchases of raffle tickets are not tax-deductible contributions. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts, and consequently do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions.
7. Disclaimers: By entering Raffle, entrants agree and acknowledge to be bound by the Rules and Laws, as well as the decisions of the Sponsor which are final and binding in all respects; to waive any rights to claim ambiguity with the Rules and Laws, and that Sponsor shall have no responsibility or liability (including, but not limited to, liability for any property loss, damage, personal injury or death) in connection with: participation in this Raffle; human error; incorrect or inaccurate transcription of Entry Information; acceptance/possession, use/misuse, and/or defects of the prizes awarded herein; defects or any other errors or malfunctions even if caused by the negligence of the Sponsor. Entrants further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor from any and all liability resulting or arising from the Raffle, to release all rights to bring any claim, action or proceeding against the Sponsor, and hereby acknowledge that said Sponsor have neither made nor are in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any component of the prize.
8. Winning Raffle Number and Winner's Name may be posted on the Web Site and Social Media once verified.
