Is your favorite part of visiting Brookfield Zoo seeing the crocodiles at the Swamp?

Stoic and stealthy, Carlita the Orinoco crocodile is a fascinating cold-blooded reptile, and a fantastic reason to visit the Swamp.

Now imagine having the opportunity to truly know her, and to play a key role in providing top-notch care for the animals of Brookfield Zoo by becoming Carlita's VIP Lead Patron.

What would this look like?
There are so many reasons to take part in this exclusive opportunity!

As Carlita's VIP Lead Patron, your family name will be on display at the Swamp at Brookfield Zoo for one year (beginning July 1, 2021). You will have special VIP access, allowing you to truly get to know this powerful predator. This includes:

  • An exclusive chat and feeding experience, with VIP parking, and a cart tour for six.
  • A Zoom chat or Birthday shout out with a member of NAME's animal care team.
  • Regular video and written updates - allowing you up close and personal (but safe!) face to face access.
  • Additionally, you'll receive photos, cards, and name recognition in the Chicago Zoological Society's Annual Report.

You can help make a difference by sponsoring Carlita at the VIP Lead Patron level.

More about Carlita
Born on March 26, 2008, at the Dallas World Aquarium, Carlita and her sister Buttercup have lived at Brookfield Zoo for more than eight years. Carlita works with her care team staff on training behaviors and since crocodiles are very food-motivated she receives treats such as herring or biscuits to reward her for her participation. More active at night, Carlita and her sister are most often seen by guests relaxing in or near the water. Carlita is definitely the dominant crocodile in the exhibit - she rules the roost!
