When will the auction take place?
The auction will open October 13th at noon EST and will close October 19th at 7:50pm EST.
How do I participate in the auction?
Register online! Click the 'REGISTER FOR THE AUCTION' button on the homepage and fill out your information. Create a password, check the boxes for terms and conditions and text messages (you will want be notified about items you bid on), and then click 'Create my GiveSmart account'!
If you already have a GiveSmart account, simply click to register and log into your existing account.
Register by text (before the event): Text "foundersgala" to 76278. Follow the prompts to create an account
How do I bid on items?
Bidding is easy! You can participate in the auction from a computer, tablet, or phone.
Via smartphone: Click the BLUE link in the welcome text message. Select any item to view its description and place a bid.
Via computer: After you sign in to your GiveSmart account, click "items" to view the auction and start bidding.
Auto Bid: To set a maximum bid and have the GiveSmart system bid for you, select 'AUTO BID,' enter your maximum bid amount, and select 'BID.'
Via Text: If you know what item you would like to bid on, reply to your welcome text with the item's 3-digit item number. You will be notified of the current winning bid and will be able to place your own bid.

How do I make a donation?
You can make a donation from a computer, tablet, or phone.
Via smartphone: Click the BLUE link in the welcome text message. Click "Donate", then select your donation amount.
Via computer: After you sign in to your GiveSmart account, click "donate," then select your donation amount.
Via Text: Text "foundersgala" to 76278. Follow the prompts to create an account. After you create an account, text "Give" and the amount (ex. "Give $500) to make a donation.
I deleted my registration/welcome text message, what do I do?
If you deleted the Welcome text message, text 'foundersgala' to 76278,.You will receive a text message with a link to view the auction and make a donation.
Will you need my credit card information?
Through October 18th a credit card will be required to bid in the auction or to make a donation. Go to MY INFO to add a card on file.
A card will not be required at the event on October 19th. You can pay by card, check, or cash.
If I win, how will I get my items?
If you attend the event in person, you will receive your item(s) in person. If you are not at the event, we will contact you regarding picking up your item(s).
How does Checkout work?
If you make a donation or win an auction item, you can checkout from your phone, tablet, or computer. Click the PAY tab to pay your balance at any time.
A text with the link to pay will also be sent to all users with a balance on file at the end of the auction.
Any unpaid balances will be charged to the card on file beginning Thursday, October 20th at 10am. Email stephanie.powers@svdpsb.org to arrange an alternate form of payment before that time.
