Watch this video for instructions on how to bid in our exciting auction.
How to bid from your phone:
Once you have completed a registration on the campaign, you will receive the welcome text message, linking you to the items to browse, bid, or buy.
- Click on the Blue link in the Welcome text to be directed to the Items page.
- View Items by category or search by Item number or name.
- Click the item of interest to view the description as well as the current bid and or price.
- The system will auto-populate the bid amount based on the set increment for the item. Choose to bid at the set amount or higher.
- Click Bid.
If you already know the item number you'd like to bid on, you can text that number to 76278 to get information on the current bid and next minimum bid. This will give you the option to place a bid by replying with the item number and amount to bid or by clicking the link in the text to go to the item details in your mobile phone's internet browser.
How to place an auto bid:
Allow the system to automatically bid up to a designated amount for you. The system will bid incrementally up to the amount designated as long as someone else places a bid against you. If no one bids against your auto-bid, the price remains the same.
- Click the item of interest
- Click the Auto Bid tab
- Enter in the maximum amount you would like to bid
- Click Bid.
Note: When two bids are placed for the same amount, the bid placed first based on the timestamp wins. Timestamps are set when the initial bid is placed, for auto bids this is when a maximum was set not when the system prompted the bid to win.
How to donate via text:
Text in monetary donations with the word GIVE or DONATE followed by an amount. The dollar sign ($) is not required.
- Text CMC2021 to 76278.
- Follow the text prompts to complete registration.
- Receive a Welcome Text.
- Text GIVE or DONATE followed by a dollar amount.
- Receive a thank you text.
- Secure payment by visiting Pay.
Manage Credit Cards on your Account
Add or remove credit cards attached to your GiveSmart user account at any time. One or more credit cards can be added to your account to allow you the ability to choose between various cards for payment. To divide payment between multiple cards, you will need a CMC staff member to assist you.
Add a credit card:
- Add a credit card for future transactions. If a credit card is required to bid or purchase, and a card is not on file, you will be prompt to add a card prior to completing your bid or purchase.
- Visit the campaign and sign in with your username and password.
- Click the 'My Info' page.
- Select 'Add Card on File'.
- Enter credit card information.
- Select 'Add Card'.
Remove a credit card:
Because a credit card is required on file in order to bid on items or donations, you will not have the ability to remove a credit card from your account if only one is added.
- Visit the campaign and sign in with your username and password.
- Click the 'My Info' tab.
- Locate the card to remove.
- Select 'Remove'.
- Confirm removal.
