
The Infusion Department at South Shore Neurologic Associates a vital part of their care team. The incredible infusion nurses ensure that patients receive intravenous therapy care in a safe environment. Nurses include Lourdes Cruz RN, Tiny Clayton RN, Shelia Demartino RN, Timothy Devine RN, Kristen Glover RN, Janna Juliano LPN, Serina LaBarbera RN, Tara Mendola LPN, Daniel Molly RN, Jennifer Przbyszewski RN, Kristin Regina LPN, Brooke Rittenhouse RN, Nicole Seltzer RN. They assist patients in the management of treatment, evaluate response to the IV treatments, and provide comprehensive nursing assessments, patient teaching, and medication education. Infusion medical coordinators Marianne Bosco, Elizabeth Heyman, Amy Leo, and Teri Taylor enroll patients for therapy and make sure that all testing is completed so that appropriate medications can be ordered. They oversee the scheduling for the MS infusion locations in Islip and Patchogue. Medical coordinators also ensure that each patient is compliant with follow ups, MRIs, and blood work needed for each patient's safety. Medical assistant Ticyana Cruz ensures that the team is providing effective patient care and meeting quality of treatment standards. Grace Druiett, Fran Noack, and Christine Slattery-Friberg in the billing department verify patients' coverage and perform the required authorizations so each patient is covered. They also make sure that patients are approved for any available financial assistance, lowering the cost of therapy and making it accessible to those who cannot afford it.
