CCJ and GSAE!

In 1999, Becca Stevens, Thistle Farms founder and CCJ board chair, reopened Escuela Anne Stevens in honor of her mother, Anne, who served as the longtime executive director of St. Luke's Community Center in West Nashville. Currently, there are 80 students at Escuela Anne Stevens whose futures look much different because of the opportunities the school provides.

Marcus Hummon, Grammy Award winning songwriter and musician (and Becca's husband!), traveled to Botswana with Becca and their family in 2004 and saw firsthand the ravages of AIDS. At that time, Marcus decided to start the Greatest Show Ever! to help support the hospice as they cared for the many dying of HIV. This year over 50 patients and their families benefited.

This is the 15th year for the Greatest Show EVER! and it has been combined with the Greatest Auction EVER!, creating one event with a singular purpose: to bring people together to sing and celebrate while raising funds for the school and hospice.

This year has brought uncertainty to many, but CCJ has remained constant in its support of the school and hospice. As we look ahead to 2021, we recognize that it is not an easy time to fundraise, but we feel the work and its impact is critical.

We thank you for your generous support that enables CCJ to continue to support these communities into the future.
