Pete Sherba
EXECUTIVE CHEF
Peter Sherba attributes his love for the culinary arts to growing up in his family's Jersey shore restaurant business. Whether it was washing dishes, bussing tables or tossing pizzas, he fell in love with it all. After high school, Pete made his love for the industry a career at The Mainland Restaurant near Long Beach Island, New Jersey. Working along side of his uncle, Pete spent the next four years learning how to develop flavors and appreciate the fresh local seafood and produce the Jersey coastline provides.
After moving to the Philadelphia area, Pete spent the next eight years furthering his culinary skills, learning the fiscal and managerial side of the industry as owner/operator of Lee's hoagies, purchasing the iconic Philly steak and hoagie spot from restauranteur Kevin Clibanoff in 1999.
In 2007 Pete and Kevin would cross paths again, this time Pete would serve as Kevin's executive chef at Bridgets Modern Steakhouse in Ambler. Pete spent the next five years overseeing the kitchen at the Ambler neighborhood gem until being tapped to lend his talents to reopening of The Blue Bell Inn in 2014. Pete redesigned the kitchen and overhauled the menu to pay tribute to the history of the long time institution, while at the same time putting a modern spin on some of the classics.
In 2016 The Blue Bell Inn acquired nearby Meadowlands Country Club, now renamed Bluestone Country club.
