You could say that Daniel Rose is experienced at spotting diamonds in the rough. Whether creating the DeBeers national "Forevermark" campaign or a new program between R2Net and Signet Jewelers which resulted in the acquisition of the former by the latter, his creativity and business acumen have catapulted him to the role of Executive Vice President at R2Net Inc - James Allen.com in New York. Prior experience includes fourteen years consulting with Eurostar Diamond Traders, seven years as a sales executive with Leo Schachter, and a stint as Confidential Assistant to the Secretary with the US Department of Commerce.

He is a graduate of Drew University and The Lawrenceville School in Lawrenceville, N.J.

Born in Antwerp, Belgium (and hence bilingual in English and French), Daniel spent the first twelve years of his life in Europe. Though he lived in different cities, states, and countries during the 80's, he (and his family?) settled in New York City in 1994. It is here that he met his beautiful wife and raised two wonderful, wide-eyed children.

And it is here that he decided to chronicle the Coronavirus pandemic, picking up his iPhone and roaming the nearly deserted streets of the city. His soon-to-be-published book of photography, EMPTY CITY, is the visually arresting and haunting depiction of eighty days of solitude and eerie silence in "the city that never sleeps."
