PLEASE READ AND REVIEW THE TERMS THOROUGHLY PRIOR TO BIDDING
MARTHA'S VINEYARD AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY (MVAS) TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. CATALOG: MVAS has put forth its best effort in preparing the catalog to provide accurate descriptions of all items. All items are sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS. Printed statements or descriptions by staff are provided in good faith and are matters of opinion. If you would like to see an item in person prior to bidding please send an email to ed@mvagsoc.org to schedule an appointment. Due diligence is the responsibility of the bidder/buyer.
2. PAYMENTS: All accounts must be settled at the conclusion of the auction. We accept most major credit cards. When paying by credit card, you will be charged for your purchases, plus any applicable taxes. NOTHING will be charged to your card until a purchase is made. You will be given the opportunity to cover the credit card fees charged to MVAS for your purchase. Doing this will ensure MVAS receives the entire amount of the bid. If you are bidding on items and prefer to pay by cash or check please let us know at least 48 hours prior to the auction close.
3. PICK UP ITEMS: All items must be picked up at MVAS hall 35 Panhandle Road, West Tisbury Ma 02575 within 30 days of the close of the auction. Any items remaining after 30 days will become the property of MVAS
4. BIDDER VERIFICATION: Bidders agree to keep their username and password confidential as they are responsible for any and all activity involving their account. When using the web site you must obey any and all local state and federal laws. Violations will result in termination of web site use privileges.
5. AUCTION END TIMES: MVAS online auction is a timed events and all bidding will close at 7 pm on Sunday August 23rd. Extended bidding may occur if additional bids are placed in the last five minutes of the auction. If a bid comes in during the last five minutes, the close time for that item will be extended by five minutes to give all bidders a fair chance to acquire the piece and to discourage snipping.
6. TECHNICAL ISSUES: In the event there are technical difficulties related to the server, software, internet or any other online auction-related technologies, MVAS reserve the right to extend bidding, continue the bidding, or close the bidding. Neither the company providing the software, nor MVAS shall be held responsible for a missed bid or the failure of the software to function properly for any reason.
7. CONDUCT OF THE AUCTION: Conduct of the auction and increments of bidding are at the direction and discretion of MVAS. MVAS reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason and also reserves the right to cancel this auction, or remove any item or lot from this auction prior to the close of bidding. All decisions of MVAS are final.
Your bid on this auction indicates both an understanding and an acceptance of the terms of this agreement between yourself and MVAS and that you, as the Bidder, are prepared to purchase items under these terms and conditions.
