The South Dakota Symphony Orchestra is now in its 99th season, and we are forging ahead to keep the music playing. The SDSO Gala At Home is your opportunity to help the Symphony by joining your fellow patrons and classical music lovers in this first-ever virtual fundraising event! 

The SDSO Gala At Home: A Virtual Fundraising Event, is on November 7, 2020 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. The Gala will feature enticing auction packages, performances from the Dakota String Quartet and the Dakota Wind Quintet, and the central fundraising moment of every SDSO Gala, Fund the Need. 

The pandemic has brought challenges for everyone, including the SDSO. This is a critical time for the Symphony, and it is also a time when we all need music. By attending the SDSO Gala At Home, you will experience the community impact of the Symphony, and help keep the music going through this season, so we can all celebrate the 100th anniversary together next year!

The SDSO is a unique performing arts organization because we can adapt our art to what the community needs. We have changed our programming to physically distance musicians on the stage for performances on stage at the Mary W. Sommervold concert hall. We are recording music for virtual concerts for students, retirement community residents, and hospital patients. The SDSO is forging ahead in inventive ways, and you can be a part of it by attending the SDSO Gala At Home this year.

This is a critical time for the Symphony. This is the moment when you we need your help to keep the music alive for everyone so we can celebrate the 100th anniversary next year.
