What is the ICRF Ribbons of Hope Virtual Celebration?
ICRF chapters from around the country have come together to share stories of science, survival and hope, and to raise funds to carry on our lifesaving work at our first Virtual Gala! This will be our signature fundraising event this year. The stakes are higher than ever as COVID is threatening our ability to fund all of the best cancer research projects this year.
When is the ICRF Ribbons of Hope Virtual Celebration?
The gala will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.

What celebrity guests are lined up to appear on the show?
We are thrilled to be joined by a star-studded lineup for our debut Ribbons of Hope celebration! The evening will be hosted by Seinfeld alum Jason Alexander, with special appearances by Tom Brokaw (legendary broadcaster), Bonnie Hunt (Beethoven), Eugene Levy (Schitt's Creek), Benj Pasek (award-winning songwriter) and many more. You'll also have the chance to hear from Nobel Laureate and ICRF-funded scientist Professor Aaron Ciechanover, who will be featured in an exclusive interview.
What will the program include? How long will it last?
The evening will combine comedy and song, as well as special presentations by cancer survivors and renowned ICRF-funded cancer scientists from leading research institutions across Israel. Throughout the 50-minute celebration, viewers will be able to make online donations and place bids on exciting items in our online silent auction.

Do I have to pay to watch?
No! There is no cost to watch the virtual gala, but registration is required. Registering also enables you to place bids on items in our Silent Auction. Register for the gala HERE.
Why do I need set up a username and password?
Setting up a username and password enables you to receive important updates on the gala and bid on auction items. We take your privacy seriously, and your personal information will not be used outside of ICRF.

What if I can't watch the livestream on August 5th?

How does the Silent Auction work?
You must be registered for the gala to participate in the Silent Auction. Register HERE (if you're not registered already), and enter your name, phone number, e-mail. Credit Card information is required to bid.
After registering for the gala, you will be able to bid on our exciting Silent Auction items! Watch this video for instructions on how to bid.
Browse the Silent Auction HERE and start bidding on your favorite items! Place your bid on selected items, set a maximum bid if desired, and we will continue to keep you in the running until you reach your maximum bid.
When does the Silent Auction start?
The auction will go live on this website on Friday, July 31st, and remain available for bidding until 9:15 PM ET on August 5, 2020. Be sure to check back for newly added items, and to make sure you aren't outbid!
How can I keep active and know if I am outbid or have won an item?
You will be notified via text if you have been outbid. Keep an eye on your favorite items! If you are NOT receiving the text messages make sure you have the correct mobile number under your profile. The texts will continue to notify you when you have been outbid or reached your maximum bid.
How will I be notified if I am the winning bidder? How will I receive my items?
When the silent auction closes, you will also receive a text message if you won any items. ICRF will contact all winners to make arrangements for delivery.
Can I donate to the gala in honor or in memory of a loved one?
Yes! Donors of $1,800 and above may dedicate a tribute. The deadline for tribute gifts to be listed as part of the gala is Wednesday, July 29, 2020. All tributes will be shown during the pre-gala presentation starting at 7:45 EDT. Make your tribute gift today HERE.

Is my gift tax deductible?
Israel Cancer Research Fund is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization and donations made in support of our organization for this event are tax deductible. For AUCTION ITEMS, any amount paid over the fair market value is tax deductible. Winning bidders will receive a tax receipt from ICRF stating the charitable deductible amount (i.e., the amount of the bid over the fair market value, not the amount of the bid itself).
