Enjoy a day on a four-wheel driving tour on the back roads of southwestern Transylvania County with Conservation Easement Manager Torry Nergart!
Your group of four will embark from the Gorges State Park visitor center and head into the Jocassee Gorges, which was named one of the last 100 most wild and beautiful places by National Geographic.
See endangered Oconee Bells and other flora & fauna in the Toxaway Gamelands, stopping at the wild & scenic Horsepasture River for some fly fishing, picnicking, photography or swimming.
Your guide, Torry Nergart, will interpret the special ecology and natural history of the area. A 4-WD vehicle and driver will be provided by Conserving Carolina.
Consult with Torry before the trip as to which other activities you would like to engage in along the tour. Must contact Torry to plan outing by September 1st 2021.
