About Our Honoree
A Legacy of Service in Queens
The Greater Queens (NY) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated traces its beginnings to 1991, when it was organized as the Queens Nia Club under the leadership of Juliette A. Hansen. On March 9, 1996, thirty-two visionary women formally established the Chapter with a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference in the Queens community.
Since its founding, the Chapter has advanced transformational programs focused on education, youth development, health and wellness, the arts, international engagement, civic awareness, and community service. Its members continue to build upon the legacy of the Chapter's founders through friendship, leadership, and sustained service.
From supporting young people in Queens to expanding educational opportunity and investing in future generations through scholarships, the Greater Queens Chapter has demonstrated an enduring commitment to strengthening communities and creating pathways to opportunity.

A Meaningful York Connection
Partnership in Education and Community
The Greater Queens Chapter's connection to York College reflects a shared belief in education, opportunity, and service. York students have participated in forums featuring influential women leaders, including international, civic, and public-service figures.
During the COVID-19 crisis, the Chapter also supported York College students through a contribution to the College's Emergency Relief Program-demonstrating its commitment to responding when members of the Queens community need support most.
