You can still participate in the auction!The Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center is excited to invite you to our 56-Hour Peer Counselor Domestic Violence Training Academy taking place in August 2026.
This comprehensive training is designed for individuals who want to make a meaningful impact by learning how to support survivors, strengthen communities, and become effective Domestic Violence Advocates.
Attend in person or join by Zoom - whichever works best for your schedule.
Training Dates:
August 4th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 27th
Time: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with 1-hour lunch break)
Cost: Only $100 for the full course
Participants will explore important topics, including:
-Myths and realities of domestic violence
-Types of abuse and coercive control
-Strangulation awareness
-Safety planning for survivors, children, pets, and elders
-Human trafficking
-Child abuse reporting
-Law enforcement and criminal justice responses
-Cultural considerations
And much more
This training meets the requirements set by California Evidence Code 1037.1 and Section 13750(a) for Family Justice Center designation.
