Join us in celebrating 43 years of the Elders & Youth Conference. First Alaskans Institute's Statewide Elders & Youth Conference gathers over 3,000 Alaska Native Elders and youth to experience the intergenerational transference of cultural knowledge and the strengthening of our collective advocacy. Held annually in October, just prior to the Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN)'s Annual Convention, our conference is live-streamed and broadcasted on television, reaching all Alaskans and our friends and relatives throughout the world.

Attendees are inspired by speakers, cultural workshops, meaningful dialogues, and traditional performances. This conference fosters unity across the Alaska Native community and all who support this work, gathering culture bearers and community leaders to carry ancestral knowledge forward into our lives today.

We promote positive change and cultural action within our community by strengthening our shared responsibility to one another and celebrating who we are. The success of Elders & Youth is due to the continued support and generosity of our community.
