What time should I arrive?
The event runs from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. VIP ticket holders are invited to VIP Hour from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Where do I park?
Ample parking is available on-site and valet will be available at the front entrance.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. The Casey is fully ADA accessible. If you need a specific accommodation, please reach out to Laura Knight at lknight@dressforsuccesscharlotte.org or 704-918-0469.
What happens when I arrive?
Stop at the check-in table at the entrance to verify your admission and get set up for the evening!
Event Schedule
Monday, October 19th: Silent Auction Opens for online bidding
Thursday, October 22nd:
5:30 - 6:30pm - VIP Hour
6:30-7:45 - General Admission Cocktail hour. Enjoy drink and appetizers, bid in our silent auction, view live auction items, visit our jewelry pop up, and more!
7:45 - Guests take their seats in the runway presentation area. A five minute warning will be given to make final bids on the silent auction.
7:50 - Our main program begins!
8:30 - Our live auction begins, followed by a paddle raise for women's economic empowerment
9:00 - Guests are invited to our "After Party" with desserts and dancing
10:00 - After party ends, auction item winners are encouraged to visit check out to pick up their items
Attire & what to bring
What should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel most like you: confident, authentic and ready to celebrate. Bold statement looks and understated elegance are both welcome.
Do I need to bring my ticket?
Your name is all you need! Check in at the table at the entrance, where we'll verify your admission and give you your materials. Are you a recent addition to someone's guest list? Make sure to mention your event host name.
Can I donate clothing at the event?
No. Please book a separate time on our website to donate clothing at our donation center at 2128 Remount Road, Charlotte.
Food & drink
Will food be served?
Yes. We'll serve heavy appetizers and desserts throughout the evening.
Can you accommodate dietary needs?
Yes. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available. For allergies or other needs, please reach out to Laura Knight at lknight@dressforsuccesscharlotte.org or 704-918-0469
What will there be to drink?
We will have two specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options available. Please drink responsibly and plan a safe ride home.
Bidding and Donations
Donations and bids accepted in the following forms: Online, check, cash, donor advised fund (donation only), and stock (donation only).
Dress for Success Charlotte is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with tax ID 56-2170625. Donations made in exchange for goods and services are NOT tax deductible. Please reference your item or donation receipt for tax deductible information and direct any questions to Laura Knight.
What if I don't want to pay with a credit card?
GiveSmart requires a credit card on file to place a bid, however guests will be able to change their payment method at checkout if they prefer to pay with another method. You will also be able to change credit cards at checkout if desired.
What if I place a bid on an item unintentionally?
Accidents happen! Don't worry- guests may contact an admin (Lissie, Talacia, Estephany or Laura) to remove an unintentional bid.
I opted out of text messaging but would now like to receive messages. What do I do?
Text "Confidence" to 76278 to re-activate text messaging.
I didn't receive the welcome text- what should I do?
Sometimes your phone provider will flag these messages as spam. Find a Dress for Success Charlotte staff member who can remedy the issue.

Will there be photos?
Yes. A photographer will be on site, and photos may be shared on our website and social media. Tag us at @dfscharlotte and use #giveconfidence
What's the runway showcase?
It's the heart of the evening: a runway featuring women from across Dress for Success Charlotte. Our main program also features Colleen Odegard as our emcee and DJ Smylee with inspirational tunes for our fashion show.
