Afternoon in the Country (AITC) is the annual food and beverage fundraiser by Les Dames d'Escoffier International Atlanta, a prestigious organization of leading women in the culinary, beverage and hospitality arts.

Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, Afternoon in the Country is returning to its original home in the pastoral fields by the Inn at Serenbe.

This year's experience will be elevated and more intimate with only 800 guests and only 80 Food, Farm & Beverage Tasting Participants comprised of the area's top Restaurateurs, Chefs, Caterers, Retailers, Wineries, Distilleries, Distributors and Farms.

The event is an Allie Award Winner - "Best Public Fair or Festival," and was voted one of Atlanta's Top Food & Wine Events by Atlanta Journal-Constitution Readers.


With the funds raised at Afternoon in the Country, we are able to give:

  • Dozens of scholarships to young women who are pursuing their dreams in the culinary, beverage and hospitality arts
  • Thousands in grants for farm and food provisioners
  • Mentorship opportunities for our 150 members to elevate women in food, beverage and hospitality professions
