A nationally recognized veterans advocate and former Miss America, Heather has dedicated her life to serving those who have served. As the daughter of a disabled Vietnam veteran, her commitment is deeply personal and has guided more than two decades of impactful work on behalf of the military community.

From visiting service members across the country during her year as Miss America 2000 to leading statewide efforts as Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, Heather has been a strong voice for veterans and their families; especially in advancing support for women veterans and raising awareness of critical challenges they face.

Through her foundation and ongoing leadership, she continues to honor, support, and elevate the lives and stories of our nation's heroes.
