My late wife Deb battled Cancer for 4 years. She was strong and never complained. Her focus was on her kids and taking care of them. Although she had 2 major operations and many months of Chemotherapy, she maintained adoring love and care for Alden, Caden, Noah and Eve (ages 12, 11, 9, and 6 at the time).
The support we received from friends and family was simply amazing. We are so thankful how they would make us dinners, help drive the kids to school or practices, and visit Deb at home and the hospital. Deb passed away in June 2014.
We were lucky to have our family and friend support network. Many people don't have a support network. For those that don't, the American Cancer Society is there for them.
