The Matthew Mangine, Jr. "One Shot" Foundation looks forward to welcoming you to our annual One Shot Birthday Bash! We've put together the following FAQs to help you prepare for this year's festivities:

Q: When do ticket sales end?

A: Ticket sales end at 12 noon on Friday, November 6 unless we sell out before that time. No tickets will be sold at the door; please plan accordingly.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Cocktail party attire is recommended, and purple or red accents are encouraged as a tribute to Matthew and his favorite colors. :)

Q: Remind me again of the location?

A: This year's event takes place at the Anderson Pavilion, located at The Banks and directly across from Smale Park. It's the event space under the indoor carousel. There will be signage and volunteers to guide you to the entrance, which is circled in the below photo. The important thing to note is that you'll be entering from Mehring Way, NOT the carousel level.

Q: What's the parking situation?

A: The Anderson Pavilion has parking garage entrances on both sides of it, accessible directly off Mehring Way. Use the address of 12 W Mehring Way, Cincinnati, OH when using GPS to get you to the closest parking garage. After parking, simply look for our volunteers and signage to identify the entrance to the pavilion. If you plan to drink at the event, we also encourage you to consider using Uber or Lyft that evening - if you go this route, give your driver the address of 8 E Mehring Way, which takes you directly to the Anderson Pavilion entrance.

Q: When does the Birthday Bash start?

A: Guests can access the pavilion beginning at 6PM.

Q: What type of food will be served?

A: The culinary team at Eat Well Celebrations and Feasts has an incredible array of dinner by the bite options planned. We've made sure there are options for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free guests - if you're not sure what you can eat for your specific dietary needs, the catering staff will be happy to help guide you. We also have a delicious dessert station planned, so make sure to leave room for some sweet treats and birthday cake!

Q: What about drinks?

A: Your event ticket comes with complimentary beer, wine, and soda. A signature cocktail and mocktail are also being generously sponsored by the Anderson Pavilion. Other alcoholic beverages can be purchased for an additional cost.

Q: Did you send me my tickets?

A: We check in guests digitally, so your name is your ticket! When you arrive, you'll have the option to do self check-in if you have a phone # or email already on file. Otherwise, one of our staff will check you in. If your guest for the evening has changed and you haven't yet reassigned their ticket in the event portal, please notify us so we can make the adjustment ahead of check-in. Please note: Our ability to update names on your behalf will be limited on event day due to other obligations.

Q: Is this a cashless event?

A: Anderson Pavilion accepts cash or credit for liquor purchases made at the bar. However, you will need to have a credit card on file in order to buy raffle tickets or bid on auction packages. If you WIN an auction package, you will have the option to pay for it with cash or check if you prefer that to credit card. Donations pledged to the One Shot Foundation during the Fund a Need portion of the evening can be made by credit card, check, or cash; donations paid by cash or check can be given to Matt or Kim Mangine or brought to the auction checkout station.

Q: Will there be music?

A: Of course! DJ Dave from Wild Mountain Entertainment will be playing some fantastic music to keep you dancing throughout the evening.

Q: Is there assigned seating?

A: Since this isn't a seated dinner, we don't have assigned seating other than reserved tables for our Presenting, World Cup, and Golden Boot level sponsors, as well as special event guests. Any table marked Open Seating is fair game for you to claim seats!

Q: Will there be a presentation?

A: Yes! We have a brief presentation planned for 7:30PM. WCPO Channel 9 News Anchor Lauren Minor serves again as our event emcee, and you'll hear from foundation co-founders Kim and Matt Mangine. We'll also be recognizing the Verst Logistics team as our 2026 Lifesaver of the Year and Ted Edgington as our 2026 Community Partner of the Year.

Q: What else is there to do at the event?

A: In addition to our awesome DJ, the event includes a great silent auction, bourbon and AED raffles, a photobooth, and rides on the indoor carousel. And you won't want to miss popping outside the venue for a selfie with the Suspension Bridge and Ohio River as your backdrop!

Q: What if I have a question you didn't answer?

A: Feel free to email contact@oneshot.life and we will do our best to respond in a timely manner. As we get closer to the big day, please keep in mind that we'll be in the midst of putting the final touches on our event, so we cannot guarantee a quick response.
