Meet Madelka

Madelka McCalla is AES' Chief Corporate Affairs and Impact Officer, leading the company's global stakeholder relations, external communications, and impact functions. Prior to her current role, Madelka held leadership roles overseeing stakeholder relations and community engagement across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

She joined AES in 2010 as Corporate Social Responsibility Director in Cameroon and Nigeria. Earlier in her career, Madelka worked with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Panama and the Panamanian Foreign Service, where she represented Panama in Washington, D.C. and at the United Nations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from McGill University and a Master of Arts in Global Governance and Public Policy from the Technical University of Darmstadt.
