How do I register to bid?
On the "Home" page of this website, click "Register to Participate" to be guided through the process to create an account.
How do I browse items?
Visit the "items" page. At the top center of that page, you can search for specific items of interest, or you can use the "Categories" dropdown to filter the auction items by type.
How do I bid on items?
Underneath the auction item photograph, you will see a box allowing you to place bids. Under "Place Bid", the next minimum amount is automatically displayed. To place a bid at that amount, click "Bid". If you would like to bid higher than the minimum bid amount, you can manually enter the desired amount and click, "Bid".
Once you have placed a bid, if a competing bidder places a higher bid, you will be notified by text message so you will have the opportunity to counter with a higher bid.
You also have the option to set an "Auto Bid" by clicking that option at the top of the bidding box. This option enables you to set a maximum bid amount by entering the highest bid you are willing to place and clicking "Bid". In the event that a competing bidder outbids your current bid, the auction software will automatically raise your bid by the minimum bid increment until your maximum bid has been met or the silent auction is closed. We encourage using the Auto Bid feature and setting a maximum bid so that you do not risk getting outbid at the last minute.
When does the auction close?
The auction will close at 9:30 pm EST on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
How do I checkout once the auction is closed?
If you are the lucky winner of one of our fabulous auction items, you will receive a text message at the close of the auction (9:30 pm EST on Saturday, April 25) congratulating you on your win. Follow the link in the text message to be directed to your personal payment page. If you are participating on your computer, select the "Pay" link at the top menu bar, which will also direct you to your personal payment page.
Please review your auction item wins and purchase summary and select the "Click Here to Pay" button. You can either use the credit card information you added at registration, or enter new card information. Once the payment is complete, a red paid stamp will be placed on your order summary. You can choose to download your receipt or receive by email.
If I win, when and where can I pick up my auction item?
If you are attending the Gala in-person, checkout and item pick up will be available to you immediately following the end of the program. Please see a Terry staff member for more information.
If you are participating from home, you will be contacted by Christine Smith the week following the Gala. Items that can be emailed or mailed in a standard business envelope will be sent at that time. Larger items can either be arranged to be picked up in Atlanta or shipped at an additional cost to the purchaser.
All items must be paid for in full prior to being picked up or mailed.
I won an item, but I do not live in the Atlanta area. What do I do?
We are more than happy to ship any items purchased. Additional shipping costs will simply need to be covered by the item purchaser. Please contact Christine Smith at ctsmith@uga.edu or 706-474-4192 to make arrangements.
I didn't win an item, can I still make a donation to the Terry College of Business?
Yes! On the "Home" page of this website, scroll down to a section named "Donate Now." You can select a pre-filled donation amount, or you can enter any amount of your choosing in the open field.
