Savannah State University's Annual Scholarship Gala celebrates student success and the rich history of the institution, while providing meaningful opportunities for the community to financially support students throughout their collegiate journey. Net proceeds from this black tie affair provide scholarship support for deserving students.

Established in 1890, Savannah State University is the oldest public Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Georgia and the first institution of higher learning in the city of Savannah. Students select majors from more than 30 undergraduate and four graduate programs in five colleges: Business Administration, Education, Media Arts, and Communication, Sciences and Humanities and Engineering, Technology and Computing.
