PREP FOR THE EVENT DAY!

  • Gather your items to set-up your area. You will need a table, table covering, and chairs to sit (if you have time). Don't forget the little things, such as tape, stapler, paper weights, string, clips, water bottle, snacks, bug spray, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and whatever else you think you may need.
  • Not required, but helpful…….Don't forget a tent (no larger than 10'X10') to protect you from the elements!
  • Don't forget your activity for the children to do while visiting your table. Examples: beanbag toss (gross motor activity), planting seed/bean in plastic bag/cup (science), find the hidden spring items in sand (science of learning seasonal items, fine motor), making playdough/goop/putty/bubbles (science, math, fine motor), etc.
  • Goodies/giveaways for up to 1,000 children. Goodies can consist of candy, stickers, bubbles, bracelets, or other trinkets. If you bring candy, be mindful of potential peanut allergies!
  • Bring your promo materials!


DAY OF EVENT

  • Arrive between 8am - 9am to set-up your area. You are responsible for setting up, manning, and breaking down your area. The event will begin at 10am so EVERYTHING must be ready for when the first child walks through the gate.
  • Ready Start Network staff and volunteers will be onsite to assist with transporting your supplies to your designated area.
  • MOST IMPORTANTLY……have fun! This is a day when the adults get to see learning through the eyes of a child. Dress- up in bright, fun colors, play some educational games, enjoy a snowball, laugh and smile all while knowing that YOU are making the difference in the life of a child!

St Tammany Parish Public School System is the lead agency for the St Tammany Early Childhood Ready Start Network. Ready Start GROW is a fundraising event for the St Tammany Early Childhood RSN. All sponsorship agreements are final and non-refundable. In the event for a cancellation of any reason, including inclement weather, sponsorship fees will not be reimbursed.
