My name is Rayma Abdallah and I am currently the Membership Director for GenNow Philadelphia. When I graduated from Temple University in 2024, I made it a goal to look for more volunteer opportunities in order to give back to the community. Through that research is how I found GenNow.
After serving one year as a general member, rejoining the group and taking on a leadership role in 2026 was a no brainer. Through all of the volunteering, education and planning that we took apart in, perhaps the most transformative part of the past year for me was hearing different accounts from cancer patients about their experiences and how The American Society has helped them through it. It was truly moving.
I am fundraising for The American Cancer Society again to champion every single person who is involved with their mission and I am so proud to be apart of the impact that this group of young professionals has in supporting the organization.
