Hi, I'm Leslie, a graduate student in Business Analytics at Temple University and a member of GenNow Philadelphia, the American Cancer Society's young professional network.
I joined GenNow because the mission of the American Cancer Society is personally meaningful to me. Cancer has affected members of my family, and through that experience, I have seen how deeply it can impact not only patients, but also the people who love and care for them. It reminds me that even the smallest act of support matters for them.
As I continue learning about healthcare through professional work and community engagement, I have come to understand that cancer is not only a medical challenge, but also a social and community challenge. As the founder of Temple Healthcare Career Hub, I hope to help more students and young professionals understand healthcare beyond the classroom and connect their skills with meaningful causes.
Being part of GenNow gives me the opportunity to turn personal experience into action alongside other young professionals who care about making a difference. As a student and young professional in Philadelphia, I believe local action matters, and I am proud to support the American Cancer Society's work in advocacy initiatives and patient support.
Thank you for supporting my fundraising page and joining me in this effort to help people affected by cancer.
