Frequently Asked Questions
We hope you will join us for this year's Annual Benefit on Friday, April 17, at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle, New York.
Who attends the Benefit?
The Benefit brings together all members of the Holy Child community - trustees, current parents, alumnae and their parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends of the School.
What happens at the Benefit?
The Benefit will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a lively cocktail hour and bidding on exceptional Silent Auction items. Once guests are seated, dinner will be served, and we will turn our attention to the main event of the evening: the presentation of the Holy Child Medal to our honorees, Andrea Hooper Robert '91, P '28 and Trish and Pete McMullin, P '25. The program will also include a student musical performance, the drawing of the Wish Upon A Star Raffle, and a Donate Now "paddle raise" for a specific and immediate need or initiative. We'll cap off the evening with dancing, conversation, and enjoying the company of our Holy Child community!
What is the purpose of the Benefit, and how can you support it?
The Benefit is the School's most significant fundraising event each year. The revenue generated from sponsorships, ticket sales, silent auction, the Wish Upon A Star Raffle, and journal advertisements fund the School's unrestricted operating budget impacting every student. In addition, the Donate Now component supports a specific need or initiative that immediately impacts the School and its students. Together, these components yield tremendous support from the Holy Child community.
There are many ways to support the Benefit even if you are unable to attend on Friday, April 17.
- Become a sponsor of the event.
- Buy tickets to attend and purchase sponsor tickets for faculty and members of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus.
- Purchase a digital journal advertisement.

What should I bring to the Benefit?
Please bring your dancing shoes, and, most importantly, a fully-charged smart phone. Your cell phone will serve as your bidding device at the event, enabling you to participate in the Silent Auction and Donate Now portions of the evening.
How do I bid on the Silent Auction items?
We use GiveSmart, which is accessed via a smart device to bid on Silent Auction items. The Silent Auction will open one week before the event and remain open until approximately 9:30 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Benefit.
What should I wear to the Benefit?
Fun and festive cocktail attire is suggested for women, and a jacket and tie are appropriate for gentlemen.
