After much thought, we're announcing the last two Heartfest events that we'll chair: Feb. 7, 2026, and Feb. 6, 2027. At the end of our ride, it will have been 20 years of fundraising and $2+ million raised to support children born with heart disease. We feel it's a good milestone to go out on, and it's time to transfer the reigns to a younger generation of philanthropists.

Our lives have been enriched by the generosity of so many over the last two decades. In a world that sometimes seems mixed up, we've been able to witness so much good in people. Thank you for joining us on this ride and helping us to teach our children the power of giving back. And most importantly, thank you for helping us extend and enrich the lives of children born with heart disease. Let's finish strong!

In honor of heart kids living longer and making their college dreams a reality, sport your favorite college gear, grab your college buddies and let's party like it's game day! Open bar, buffet dinner, live music, auction, raffles and more.

One hundred percent of proceeds will benefit promising medical research, summer camp scholarships for heart kids, and high school cardiac screenings in the Chicagoland area.

Our Story

In support of all children born with congenital heart defects (CHD) and medical practitioners and researchers who advance CHD research, the Mend a Heart Foundation supports initiatives that extend and enrich the lives of heart children. To date, the foundation has raised more than $1.4 million toward causes that support our mission. Visit mendaheart.org for information about what we have funded.

The Mend a Heart Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization. The organization has no paid employees and is run strictly by volunteers. One hundred percent of proceeds are directed toward initiatives that support our mission.
