The following describes the general admission requirements (collectively, the "Agreements") of the Junior League of Greenwich for its 2026 "Touch A Truck" event (the "Event") . By purchasing a ticket(s) for the Event, the ticket purchaser (the "Ticket Purchaser") hereby acknowledges its consent to the terms and provisions of the Agreements set forth below for both himself/herself/themselves and for each participant for whom a ticket is being purchased by the Ticket Purchaser (each a "Participant"). The Ticket Purchaser expressly acknowledges that (i) he/she/they is/are an individual of 18 years of age or older, (ii) he/she/they is/are the parent/legal guardian of or otherwise has/have obtained the consent of the parent / legal guardian of each Participant that is not 18 years of age or older with respect to the Agreements set forth herein, and (iii) he/she/they has/have obtained the consent of each Participant that is over the age of 18 years with respect to the Agreements set forth herein. If any individual is not named below as a "Participant", then the individual will not be permitted to enter or participate in the Touch A Truck event.
The Agreements
Definitions: For purposes of the Agreements, the "Released Parties" are defined as: the Junior League of Greenwich, Connecticut, Incorporated (JLG) and its officers, directors, members, participants, affiliates, volunteers, coordinators, sponsors, employees and each of their respective heirs, successors, assigns and representatives. The "Releasing Parties" includes the Ticket Purchaser, on his/her/their own behalf, and on behalf of each of the Participant(s) (including the legal guardians, family and/or parents thereof), and each of their respective heirs, successors, assigns and representatives.
General
In order for the Releasing Parties and each Participant to be permitted to enter and to utilize the facilities, services, and programs of the JLG's Touch A Truck Event held at Town Hall, Greenwich, CT on or about May 17, 2026, for any purpose, the Ticket Purchaser, on his/her/their own behalf, and on behalf of all Participant(s) identified below, represents, acknowledges, understands, consents and agrees to the following:
1. I am over 18 years of age and a Participant in the Touch A Truck Event.
2. For each Participant(s) under 18 years of age, I am also the parent, legal guardian or a designated representative of each such Participant(s) parent or legal guardian, for each other Participant that is 18 years of age or older, I have their consent to purchase a ticket on their behalf, and and, in all events, I have the authority to purchase tickets for the Event on behalf of each such Participant pursuant to the Agreements set forth herein.
3. I hereby give my permission and approval for all listed Participant(s) to attend and participate in the facilities, services, activities and programs of the Touch A Truck Event.
4. I acknowledge and understand the nature of the Touch A Truck Event, that there are different types of activities, equipment, and facilities offered at the Touch A Truck Event, each Participant is in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate in the Touch A Truck Event, and there are risks and dangers inherent in the participation of such activities and the use of such equipment and facilities, including the possible transmission of infectious diseases (COVID-19).
5. I, on behalf of myself and each listed Participant(s), knowingly and voluntarily accept and assume full responsibility for the risk of bodily injury, death or property damage to the undersigned and/or the Participant(s) due to the negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise while in, about or upon the Touch A Truck Event premises and/or while using such premises and/or any facilities and/or equipment thereon and/or participating in any program/activities affiliated with the Touch A Truck Event.
6. I, for myself and for each listed Participant(s), acknowledge and agree that each of the listed Participant(s) is engaging in the Touch A Truck Event and its activities and at its own risk and further willingly assumes all of the risks and hazards inherent, incidental and/or otherwise associated with attendance and participation in such facilities, services, activities and programs.
7. I acknowledge that I am obligated to remain with each of the listed Participant(s) under 18 years of age, at all times during his/her/their attendance and participation in the Touch A Truck Event and its facilities, services, activities and programs.
8. I hereby acknowledge that each listed Participant(s) has the physical ability to participate in the programs and activities in which he/she/they is/are being enrolled.
Publication Consent
9. I, on behalf of myself and each listed Participant(s), hereby give the JLG permission to reproduce, edit, modify, adapt and/or publish any article, interview and/or photo (collectively, "Materials"), written, provided and/or taken by or of me and/or any of the listed Participant(s) during the JLG's 2026 Touch a Truck Event.
10. It is my understanding that any Materials obtained by the JLG during the Touch a Truck Event will become the property of the JLG and will not be returned. Materials will not be used for commercial purposes, but may be used to promote one or more of the JLG's charitable projects or fundraisers. I further acknowledge and agree that any Materials may be reproduced, published, displayed and/or distributed in one or more of the JLG's publications, social media, or on their website and could be used in outside media, as well.
11. I, on behalf of myself and each listed Participant(s), waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the JLG's use of the Materials.
12. It is my understanding that the JLG cannot control and will not be liable for the taking or use of any Materials by any persons that are not part of the JLG.
Waiver, Release, Hold Harmless, and Indemnification
13. Releasing Parties hereby agree to release, hold harmless and indemnify, waive and give up any and all claims, known and unknown, that the Releasing Parties may now or later have against the Released Parties with respect to any act, omission, statement or occurrence during or related to the Touch A Truck Event (including the premises, facilities and/or equipment associated therewith and/or the participation in any programs/activities affiliated with the Touch A Truck Event) and for any and all liability, loss, costs or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from any and all claims, injuries, liabilities or damages related to the Participant(s)'s involvement and/or participation in the Touch A Truck Event. Claims forever released by the Releasing Parties hereunder include, without limitation, liability for direct, indirect, vicarious, consequential and incidental, personal injury, death, economic loss and other damage of every kind wherever or however it may occur and/or arising out of or related to our participation in the Touch A Truck Event, in all respects (including the premises, facilities and/or equipment associated therewith and/or participation in any program/activities affiliated with the Touch A Truck Event).
Severability
14. I, for myself and for each Participant and each of the Releasing Parties, expressly agree that the foregoing assumption of risk, release and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of Connecticut and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
By purchasing tickets for the Touch A Truck Event, I represent that I am legally competent to understand and to complete this ticket purchase transaction, I am completing the ticket purchase transaction voluntarily and without coercion, and that I agree to the terms and provisions of the Agreements set forth herein on behalf of myself and each Participant listed below.
I also acknowledge that I have read and understand the Agreements set forth herein.
