Each year the Mattatuck Volunteers present a scholarship in memory of our longtime Camp Director, Scoutmaster, and dear friend Tom "Toot" Horan.
The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance for college-aged Camp Mattatuck staff members who continue to return to camp each summer. It is a recognition of their hard work and willingness to do things "the Mattatuck Way" and a way to help offset financially what they may get from other summer employment.
The current scholarship is $500 a year and the past winners have been great representatives of the the Camp Mattatuck experience.
