PJ Callahan Foundation, Inc.

PJ Callahan Foundation, Inc. exists to help, to offer hope, and to make good things happen. Its charitable activities are centered on, but not limited to, organizations located in the New York tri-state area and Palm Beach County, Florida. The Foundation was founded more than 2 decades ago by benefactor Peter J. Callahan, who wanted to work alongside his 3 daughters -- Christine, Carolyn, and Tricia -- to enrich and improve lives through education, medical care and research, and the arts.

The organization is also known for funding charities that provide for basic human needs, as well as those that focus on supporting our nation's veterans, and delivering emergency aid during crisis situations and natural disasters.

In addition to a long career in magazine publishing and media, Peter, who passed away in 2024, was an accomplished Thoroughbred breeder and owner, and was dedicated to supporting charitable organizations that serve the horse industry. He especially admired Belmont Child Care Association and was happy and proud to support its very worthy mission.

Through Callahan Equine, LLC, and through their work with recipients of PJ Callahan Foundation, Inc., Peter's family is committed to keeping his legacy of love and giving alive for many years to come.
