Jewish Family Service of Dallas (JFS Dallas) exists to support the community at every turn. They are a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive health services and resources to promote well-being and self-sufficiency for every stage of life. 

Because they believe everyone deserves to thrive, JFS Dallas puts Jewish values into action every day to respond to the community's evolving needs. The services they provide are available to everyone in Greater Dallas, regardless of their religion or ability to pay.

Those services address physical, emotional, nutritional, and financial well-being for all. From primary medical care to a food pantry, counseling, and career coaching, they ensure everyone has what they need to reach their full potential and shape their own lives. 

Behind every service is a team of experienced professionals - including doctors, licensed social workers, therapists, counselors, coaches, psychologists, and consulting psychiatrists - all committed to ongoing training and care that meets the highest standards.

JFS Dallas was officially founded in 1950, but its roots reach back to 1911, when early Jewish charitable groups came together to support Jewish immigrants arriving in Dallas. Over the decades, those efforts evolved to meet growing needs - aiding refugees fleeing war-ravaged Europe, resettling Holocaust survivors, and providing care for local families in crisis.

In 1950, the social services arm of the Jewish Federation became Jewish Family Service, offering professional casework and compassionate support for life's toughest moments, including job loss, medical emergencies, aging, and family struggles.

Since then, they have grown into a full-service health and human services agency, providing wraparound care for more than 22,000 people each year - from mental health and career services to food support and senior care. Today, JFS Dallas stands as a trusted, values-driven resource for the entire Greater Dallas community.
