2025 MORRY AWARD RECIPIENTS

The Morry Award recognizes impactful and inspiring members of our community, whose work, energy, and dedication deeply support our organization's mission.

We are thrilled to present the 2025 Morry Award to Project Morry leaders Dawn Ewing and Deb Cederbaum Jones.

Dawn and Deb first crossed paths 37 years ago, in 1988, when Dawn was the Head Counselor at Camp Echo Lake and Deb was a camper. Little did they know then that their lives and work would be intertwined for decades to come, driven by Morry Stein's vision and their passion for sharing the camp experience with those who might not otherwise be able to access it.

10 years later, in 1998, Dawn was hired as the Executive Director of Project Morry, and she hired Deb as a summer staff member. Deb, now Chief Program Officer, has served in many roles since growing to a year-round staff member in 2001.

For over 25 years, this dynamic team has shaped and expanded Morry's vision, and in doing so impacted the lives of our youth. They have focused on building opportunity and equity, recognizing the challenges that Project Morry students face. Dawn and Deb lead with compassion, empathy, and a deep commitment to seeing each student as unique while tirelessly supporting them and their families, creating a structure that supports success far beyond their time in the Project Morry Program.

We cannot wait to take this time to gather and celebrate Dawn and Deb!

"Morry's superpower was identifying talent and putting them in place to succeed. He certainly did that with Dawn, and Dawn has certainly done that with Deb."
-Adam Diamond, Project Morry Board President
