Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners was founded in late 2011 by its President, Aron Wellman. Eclipse is a full-service racing partnership with an expertise in global racehorse selection, development, and management at the highest level in the sport. Parallel to Eclipse's elite-level racehorse and racing production exists a top-tier customer service element with a concierge-like system to provide its 300+ active partners with not only access to Grade 1 racehorses, but also 1st-class experiences both on and off the racetrack.

In just shy of 14 seasons, the public partnership company has seen its stable win 641 races at a strike rate in excess of 20% and boasts an in-the-money ratio of greater than 50% while amassing $60 million in purse earnings. Of Eclipse's 641 victories, 165 have come in Stakes races with 81 of those Black Type tallies being of the Graded Stakes variety, including 31 Grade 1 wins with 23 individual horses.

Eclipse performers have captured 2 American Classics, an Australian Classic, 2 Breeders' Cup events and the Group 2 Queen Mary at Royal Ascot, in addition to numerous coveted trophies at every major racing venue in North America.

As serious as Eclipse takes the care of its active racehorses and partners, the company is equally as attentive to its retired racehorses and facilitates the monitoring and transitioning of former and retired Eclipse stable members through its customized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Blue Moon. 

Eclipse prides itself on being a positive Ambassador and steward of the sport with philanthropic involvement in charities focused on the care of racehorses as well for those who care for racehorses in addition to the preservation of the sports important legacy.  This is evidenced by Wellman's contribution to various industry organizations as a Member of the Board of the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, the Belmont Child Care Association, and the Breeders' Cup, as well as the Thoroughbred Racing Initiative.
