Softball

Kelley played varsity softball for four years, during which time she helped the team win four conference and state championships. Over her career Kelley earned two Washington Post All-Metropolitan 1st team awards; O'Connell's softball MVP awards in 2005, 2006, and 2007; WCAC conference player of the year her junior year; DJO's outstanding athletic performance award for the 2005-2006 school year; Division I first team all-state sophomore, junior, and senior years; Louisville Slugger high school all-American second team in 2006; and the 2006 Virginia Gatorade Softball Player of the Year.

Over her high school career, Kelley logged 772 strikeouts over 535⅓ innings pitched. Some of her career highlights include an undefeated 24-0 season in her junior year with a 0.48 earned run average (ERA) while hitting .403. In her senior year, she led the team with 38 runs batted in (RBIs) while hitting .518, went 23-2, maintained a 0.62 ERA, and walked only nine batters while striking out 254. In addition to her performances on the field, Kelley was a member of the choir, including two years in the district chorus, maintained a four-year honor roll record, and was a member of the National Honor Society during her junior and senior years. Kelley went on to play four years of Division I college softball for Boston University, where she was named to the America East All-Rookie team. 

Kelley has earned two master's degrees and currently provides free mental health counseling as a Licensed Professional Counselor to survivors of sexual violence through a non-profit agency. Kelley continues to play ball as part of a wooden bat, fast pitch baseball team called the Pelicans. She has been playing with the Pels since 2016 and is one of only a few women in the league. Kelley married her best friend, Braden, in 2019 and lives with him in New Orleans, Louisiana.
