Volleyball

A four-year varsity starter, Claire was named her team's Most Valuable Player all four years. As a senior, she earned the distinction of Under Armour All-American and was named WCAC Player of the Year. She was a first-team All-WCAC selection throughout her high school career, a three-time Washington Post All-Met honoree, and a three-time VISAA All-State first-team honoree. Claire graduated as her school's all-time leader with 1,326 kills, including a single-season record of 560 kills. She was also recognized as the 2013 Arlington Better Sports Award High School Volleyball Sportswoman of the Year. Academically, she excelled as a member of the National Honor Society and French Honor Society, graduating with a 4.2 GPA. She was also a performing member of the O'Connell Singers and the Knightingales A cappella group.

Claire accepted a full-ride scholarship to Villanova University for volleyball, where she was a four-year varsity starter from 2013 to 2016. She earned Big East Honor Roll recognition in 2013, 2015, and 2016, and was named Villanova Student-Athlete of the Month in October 2015. That same year, she was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the Villanova Classic Tournament. She became one of only twenty players in program history to surpass 1,000 career kills and led the team to an NCAA tournament appearance in 2012. She graduated with a major in Communication and a minor in English.

Through Villanova Athletics, Claire met her husband, Andrew, a member of the varsity golf team. They now live in Brooklyn, New York, with their cat, Pippin. Claire works as a Senior Territory Manager in medical device sales for Johnson & Johnson MedTech. She continues to pursue her love of music as an active member of the Young New Yorkers Chorus.

Claire thanks her family, friends, and Coach Alaoui for their unwavering support in helping her achieve her athletic, academic, and professional goals over the past 12 years.
