Pilar Hogan

Nominated - Women's Leadership Award

Ms. Hogan is Executive Director of Saint Joseph's Carpenter Society (SJCS), a Camden-based community organization whose mission is to build wealth and cultivate community through healthy, affordable homes, vibrant neighborhoods, and empowered residents.

In this position, Ms. Hogan has overseen the construction and gut-rehabilitation of nearly 500 houses since 2005 as well as the repair of over 1,000 homes owned by community residents. She is also responsible for the oversight of the property management of 85 rental units in Camden. Prior to joining SJCS, Ms. Hogan Closkey worked as a planner with a non-profit affordable housing developer in Raleigh, North Carolina and as a civil engineer for a large, international consulting engineering firm in Chicago. Ms. Hogan holds her Professional Engineering license in New Jersey, is a certified planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners, and a Professional Planner in New Jersey.

She serves as a board member for Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey and Camden Community Development Association.
